We Welcome Referrals
We welcome referrals from pediatricians, therapists, educators, and other professionals seeking comprehensive developmental evaluations for children and adolescents.
At UPwardKidZ, we partner with providers to help families gain clear diagnostic insight and practical guidance for supporting their child’s development.
Our evaluations are family-centered, clinically grounded, and designed to provide meaningful recommendations that extend beyond the evaluation itself.
Evaluation Services
We currently provide:
Autism Evaluations
Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations designed to assess social communication, developmental history, sensory regulation, and behavioral presentation.
When clinically appropriate, our evaluation process may include the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – Second Edition), widely considered the gold standard for autism assessment.
Our evaluations may include:
• Structured parent interview
• Standardized assessment tools
• Clinical observation
• Sensory and regulation insights
• ADOS-2 administration when appropriate
• Practical recommendations for home and school
Referral Process
Referring a family is simple.
Providers may refer families by completing the Medical Referral Form below or by sharing our consultation link directly with parents or guardians.
Once a referral is received:
- Our team will contact the family to complete a short intake questionnaire.
- A consultation call will be scheduled to determine whether a full evaluation is appropriate.
- If indicated, the evaluation will be scheduled at our West Virginia location.
This process ensures families are supported while also helping determine the most appropriate next steps for the child.

Our evaluations are conducted in Hedgesville / Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Families frequently travel to our location from West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas for services.
